1. Abstracts will only be accepted in English and submitted by August 20th, 2013.

2. Abstracts must be sent electronically to bwepidemiology@gmail.com no later than the deadline.

3. The abstract submission will only be accepted upon receipt of full registration and payment.

4. Submissions will be analyzed by the Scientific Committee. This Committee will verify the adequacy of the abstracts for presentation at the congress and publication in the annals.

5. All abstracts submitted will be scheduled for presentation during the Poster Session (December 3rd, 17h05-18h05). Furthermore, 10 abstracts will be selected for the Oral Sessions Part I & II (20 minutes) to be held on December 2nd, 2013 (14h00-15h40 & 16h10-17h30) and posters will be elected for a Short Oral Poster Presentation (5 minutes) to be held on December 3rd, 16h15-17h05.

6. The criteria for all selections will be both scientific quality and abstract relation to the workshop topics. The geographic distribution is also a criteria for Short Oral Poster Presentation (5 minutes) selection. 

1. The full text, including the title, authors' names, complete addresses and body of the abstract fitted within 1 page of A4 paper (margins: right 2 cm and left 3 cm).

2. The abstract must be submitted in Word (DOC or DOCX). PDF format is not accepted.
 

3. Please, follow the structure below:

Title: FULL TITLE IN CAPITAL BOLD LETTERS (EXCEPT FOR SCIENTIFIC NAMES, THAT SHOULD BE IN LOWER CASE ITALICS), single-spaced, centered and written in Arial 12.
Author(s): Full name of the authors must be typed below the title, in Arial 11, single spaced, centered and with the last name in capital letters. Each name must be followed by a superscript number as reference to each authors' affiliation (Institution, address, e-mail, etc). The first author's name should be underlined and names should be separated by a colon.

Text: Justify all text to left margin with no paragraph divisions. The text must be typed in Arial 11 and with 1.5 spacing. Insert a single line between: title and author; authors and institution; institution and text. The content must include an introduction, objectives, methodology, results and conclusion. Scientific names should be in lower case italics. Do not insert tables or images. Citations should be restricted to a minimum (no author names) and, if is really necessary, reference as: Author(s). Title. Journal name. City, Country. Volume, Issue, Year.

Special attention should be given to written English. Please avoid orthographic, grammatical and formatation mistakes. The Scientifc Committee may require abstract correction and/or adequacy.

Authors will be notified by e-mail about the acceptance of the abstract and a list will be available on the website as from September 20th, 2013.
